€23 Million Delivered for Cross-Border Projects

ICBAN

A total of €23 million was delivered under INTERREG IIIA for 70 projects across a spectrum of sectors; tourism development, robotics engineering, environmental education, etc.

The INTERREG IIIA Cross Border Programme was delivered from 2000 to 2006, with the aim of promoting sustainable economic and social development across all of Northern Ireland and the six border counties of Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Louth, Monaghan and Sligo in the Republic of Ireland. This was achieved through funding a range of cross-border activities including the provision of infrastructure and services necessary for economic growth.

The document ‘Joining up Development: The Story of the INTERREG IIIA Programme in the Irish Central Border Area’ is an anthology of the projects which were supported by ICBAN through the Programme.
